Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of motherhood isn't the big milestones, it's the quiet, everyday moments. The tight neck hugs, the celebration plates for a job well done, the laugher over absolutely nothing, the sweet, silly inside jokes, the mud pies, the handshakes, the flowers picked on evening walks. It's knowing I'm their safe space, their biggest cheerleader, and watching them grow into exactly who God created them to be is my greatest blessing.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

My motherhood journey hasn't always been easy. I'm a bereaved mom who has clung to faith during the loss of our daughter. I learned early in motherhood to search out the micro-joys of life. Between grief and raising 4 little boys, I've been taught patience and kindness. I've learned to slow down and that everything on this side of Heaven is temporary. I've learned to speak life into others and to give back in Kinsley's memory whenever possible. I've learned that my love knows no distance.

What would you do with $20,000?

I'd use $20,000 to invest in what matters the most to me, making memories with my family. We are hopeful to take a cross-country road trip to visit landmarks within the next few years and we'd love to put some of the money into our daughters memorial grant, Kindness for Kinsley. I'd also invest some of the money to be able to continue to stay home with my boys because at the end of the day, it's not about the money, it's about the moments that this money could allow us to create together.
