Doula, ICWA GAL advocate, & CEO of a 6-person circus. I battle state bureaucracy and multiple schedules daily. Chaos is my cardio.
We would like to thank you for supporting Elizabeth O'Halloran in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
It’s seeing the world through their eyes and witnessing the people they are becoming. From the early morning wake-up calls for testing days to cheering at hockey games, the reward is in the chaos and the quiet moments alike. There is nothing more fulfilling than being the person they turn to for support, and knowing I am raising a group of kind, resilient, and independent humans who will one day make their own mark on the world.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that "perfect" is an illusion, but "present" is everything. It has taught me a level of resilience and advocacy I didn't know I possessed—whether I’m fighting for their educational needs or navigating complex systems to provide for them. I’ve learned to lean into the mess, find humor in the long to-do lists, and that my strength isn't just about doing it all, but about showing my children that you keep going, no matter the obstacle.
What would you do with $20,000?This would be a life-changing foundation for my family and my business. I would use it to secure a stable future for my four children, finalize the launch of my doula collective to help other families bring their babies earthside, and finally take a breath knowing our home is organized and our needs are met. It would turn a season of survival into a season of truly thriving.
