Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is in the little things that would normally go unnoticed - when my son walks down the stairs sleepy eyed and curls up in my arms and I know I have and always will be his safe space and his home. It’s in knowing as he gets older, he wants to be more independent and be with friends, but still checks in and can’t wait to tell me all about his time. It’s the car rides to and from school where we talk about everything from space to his interactions with others.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest thing motherhood has taught me is to never take each and every day for granted because they really do change and grow that fast! It’s about being present when you’re with them and never stop learning from them because I have learned the most about myself from being my son’s Mommy. I replay every day in my head like a videos you rewind and it is just so fleeting. I savor the slow down, the soak it all up and the appreciation that I will look back someday with no regrets.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would help my family not live paycheck to paycheck for a bit. We would put that money into some peace of mind we will be okay for a bit without the constant work hustle. My son is an amazing athlete and this money would help offset some of those costs as well.
