What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

At first, it was their first steps, first words, and the joy of milestones like potty training, bike rides, and first books. Now, it’s watching my soon-to-be senior choose a college for occupational therapy, thrive as a preschool teacher, and pass her driving test on the first try. I’m just as proud hearing my youngest talk about AP classes and college courses as a freshman while excelling as a competitive dancer.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me to be a stronger, more selfless version of myself. My girls deserve the best, and I give everything I can to provide it. I work as a paralegal by day and volunteer at night to support competitive dance and save for college, honoring my promise to help fund their bachelor’s degrees. They’ve taught me how to love deeply—and how to love myself and prioritize my health.

What would you do with $20,000?

I’d help my daughter buy a reliable used car, support competitive dance, and prioritize saving for college. I believe it’s my responsibility to help provide at least a bachelor’s degree, and if I could do more, I would. They both have big dreams, and it’s my job to nurture them and cheer them on. In return, they’ve taught me resilience and the strength to keep going no matter what.
