What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is loving, nurturing, and showing up through every season. Raising my 25-year-old, adopting and loving my 3-year-old, and caring for my nieces and nephew while their mom is incarcerated has taught me motherhood is bigger than calling me mom, it’s sacrifice, strength, and unconditional love. Watching them grow, heal, and feel safe in my care is my greatest reward.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught me that love is sacrifice, patience, and showing up even when you’re tired. It’s taught me strength I didn’t know I had. It showed me how to nurture, protect, and keep going through hard seasons. It also taught me that children don’t just grow because of what we give them, they grow through our presence, prayers, and unconditional love. The biggest lesson is showing love in action every single day.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I would use it as a down payment on a manufactured home and to help furnish it for my family. After losing our home in a house fire a year ago, having place to call home again would mean everything to us. We currently staying with my sister but not enough room.Because of student loans, I need a larger down payment to qualify, so this would help make homeownership possible. It wouldn’t just be a house, it would be restoring security, comfort, and a fresh start for my family.
