Celebrating the little things like a smile and a small word from my son who is nonverbal and cannot move on his own. When he can use his words it is a beautiful thing. He is working on head control and gripping things independently so to see him do these for longer periods of time is inspiring. Watching him battle so much daily makes me so thankful for each new day we are blessed with. Motherhood isn’t easy but I am so thankful I get to be his mom.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?To live in the moment and take each day like it is the only one you have. Time is precious and you can never get it back. Life throws you a curve ball and just because it isn’t the life you pictured doesn’t mean it isn’t beautiful. Motherhood saved my life and I’m forever grateful.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off our medical debt and school loans. I am a teacher so we make it work, but it is hard. I would also take my son to swim with the dolphins. Water is where he feels the most free and can be independent. To see him get to touch a dolphin is top of my bucket list.
