Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching Emma (16) and Mattias (11) grow into kind, loving humans. Their hearts are what I’m most proud of. Knowing that through my own growth and healing, I’ve helped shape that...it’s everything. Because I know what it feels like to grow up without that foundation, seeing them become confident, compassionate, and secure in who they are is the greatest reward I could ever ask for. That’s the legacy I’m most proud to leave behind.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

That it starts with me. Breaking cycles isn’t just about intention...t’s about awareness and action. I’ve learned to not only heal, but to show up differently: how I listen, guide, and create space for them. I used to think being a good mom meant doing everything for them, but I’ve learned it’s about being present with them. That shift has changed how they experience me...and themselves.

What would you do with $20,000?

Of course I would love to do something for me, buy them something they have wanted, or take us on a trip to make memories, but I wouldn’t spend it on things. I’d use the money to create something meaningful with them. Together, we would build an initiative focused on giving back, so they can experience what it means to lead with heart, serve others, and create real impact. The goal isn’t the money...it’s the lesson, the growth, and the legacy we build together.
