What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my boys become over-comers in Christ Jesus! Each of them have had the odds stacked against them from kidney failure, brain injury, seizures, severe food allergies, and Autism. But now they are disciples who love Jesus and are world changers because of their testimonies.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that the sooner I can let go of pride and humble myself, the less stressed I will be when the unexpected events of motherhood come my way. Having 5 boys with special needs and medical complexities, I’ve learned to be flexible and not sweat the small stuff. At the end of the day, what core memories am I building with my boys that will impact them into adulthood? How are they going to remember their mom?

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 I would use it to purchase a passenger van for our family. My husband has been hospitalized 55 days this year alone. As a family of 7, we own one vehicle and it’s a 2011. It needs a new transmission and several other repairs made. A passenger van would give us more space as our boys are getting older, and they are all very tall. It would also give us the opportunity to minister to others by taking them to church with us or helping with getting them back and forth to appointments.
