Debra Baskerville

I put my family first always before my wants or needs. I’ve finished raising my sister when our mom died, now my niece after my sister died.

We would like to thank you for supporting Debra Baskerville in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Teaching my children and the ones i’ve raised about God, integrity, and respect, most of all helping others with love. Help when you can, being a listening ear, being kind, giving from the heart. Knowing that we serve a mighty God that sits high and looks low. Be the image of Jesus.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

There’s never an age that you won’t hear ma. Informing them of life up and downs. You will have valley walks, plenty of tears, Just wait for your mountain high is an award to look back and be thankful.

What would you do with $20,000?

Go on a cruise with my immediate family and buy a nice SUV for myself. Put a few dollars in my nonprofit organization called the Positive Sistas, give back to the community.
