What makes me a super mom is my ability to stay committed and present while balancing so many responsibilities.
We would like to thank you for supporting Darnesha Golden in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching your children grow into their own people while knowing you played a huge role in shaping who they become. It’s in the little moments—when they come to you for comfort, when they learn something new and look to you for approval, or when they simply say “I love you” without being asked. There’s also a deep sense of purpose that comes with motherhood. No matter how hard life gets, your kids give you a reason to keep going and push harder.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?One of the biggest lessons motherhood teaches is patience—real, deep patience you didn’t even know you had. Kids don’t move on your schedule, don’t always listen the first (or fifth) time, and they’re constantly learning through mistakes. Motherhood teaches you to slow down, to breathe, and to respond with understanding instead of frustration. Over time, you realize that growth—both theirs and yours—takes time. It also shows you that you can’t control everything, and that’s okay.
What would you do with $20,000?Catch up or get ahead on bills, rent, car payments, or anything causing stress. Peace of mind is priceless. Pay for the rest of my college loans, put money to the side for an emergency fund. Not reckless spending—but something meaningful. You work hard as a mom, student, and intern. You deserve a reward too. At the end of the day, $20,000 can either disappear quickly or change your situation long-term depending on how you use it.
