I’m raising my granddaughter. I’m 68. Her mother passed away 09/12/21. I do have a son 45. I never dreamed that I would be raising a grandc.

I’m trying to make memories for Ava as I did with her mommy. I’m on a fixed income so no vacations for us my husband passed away from ALS in 2023.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?That you can raise a child at any age by yourself. A lot of challenges. I am proud that I taught my children respect and love and that family comes first. That it’s not about what your friends have. Treat people the way that you want to be treated. Honesty goes a long way.
What would you do with $20,000?I would take Ava on a cruise Disney. I would also put money away for Ava’s college. I have told her that she can do anything that she sets her mind to. She does beautiful art work. I’m proud of her she has been through more than any child should. Losing her mommy her best friend. Meeting her dad and four years later he made me adopt her. She struggled with feeling like no one loved her. I would love to suprise Ava with this. Thank You Darcy
