The most rewarding part is watching my kids be able to do something on their own after teaching and guiding them along the away. Seeing them be independent is very fulfilling. Watching my children grow into who they are. Seeing their personalities, kindness, and confidence take shape over time. It’s in the small moments: the hugs, the laughter, the trust they place in me. Knowing you’re their safe place, their guide, and their constant, even as they become more independent.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

As a full-time working mom with a professional career, motherhood taught me that control is an illusion—presence is what matters. Plans fall apart, but being there for your kids in small, everyday moments is what shapes them. Consistency matters more than perfection. They learn from how you show up, especially when you’re tired. And the hardest lesson: you guide who they become, but you don’t control it.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a mom of two boys, nothing matters more to me than giving them opportunities to dream bigger than I ever could. I would use the $20,000 to help build their education fund so they can pursue their future with less financial stress and more confidence. Whether it’s college, trade school, or discovering their passion, I want them to know hard work and education can open doors. Investing in their future would be the greatest reward I could receive as a mother.
