Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is being the first person they run to and call in moments of need, moments of celebration, and moments of confusion. It is the toughest position in life I believe one can take on but it’s the most rewarding, being able to see the most beautiful souls that I carried onto this world smile, laugh, cry, and develop into intoxicating beings that I get to call my blessings. Not always knowing what to do but teaching and learning together along the way.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught is that you don’t have to be perfect to be a mother as long as you are willing to grow and be better every day to set that example for the future generations that were raising. As a young single mother it has been tough knowing what to do and how to take on challenges especially while taking care of 2 toddler boys, but they have been my biggest inspiration and motivation to keep on pushing myself to let them see and learn that way how to be good people.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 I would put a down payment for a home for my children and I. Since I became a single mom, I’m blessed with wonderful parents who have helped me and have put a roof over my children’s and my head as I work, and study full time. If I were to win those $20,000, it would be the biggest boost in allowing me to take on that next step to be able to move out of my parents home and give my children the home that they deserve.
