I am more than a mom; I am a healthcare leader, a lifelong learner, and a provider dedicated to my community and a single mother of three.
We would like to thank you for supporting Crystal Nevins in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mom often lives in the small, ordinary moments that end up feeling extraordinary. Watching my children grow into themselves, seeing their personalities take shape, and noticing the ways they quietly take care of one another can feel like a kind of love that expands you from the inside out. What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has a way of teaching lessons that nothing else in life can, working hard for my babies, loving them fiercely, and carrying the weight of both emotional and financial responsibility — is one of the deepest truths of being a single mom. That experience has shaped me in ways that are both demanding and powerful.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20,000, I would use it in ways that truly matter. I’d take my family on a much‑needed getaway to spend quality time together and make new memories. I’d donate toys to the children’s hospital so other kids can feel a little joy during tough times. I’d fix up my home to make it more comfortable and safe, and I’d buy clothing and essential items for myself and my children. I’d want every dollar to go toward love, stability, and giving back.
