My husband has been out of work for two years due to medical reasons. I’ve been the sole breadwinner since 2024. My job is ending 3/31.

The love of my child. Attended a school meeting this week & they told me how kind and considerate he is. I finally felt like I was doing something right.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Responsibility- I didn’t have my son until I was 40 so the majority of my life, I wasn’t very responsible and made many poor choices. Once I became a mother of a tiny 24 week preemie, I learned immediately that now I’m not only responsible for myself but another living person is dependent on me for their existence. I’m so thankful for this responsibility, it grounded me in a way I surely needed. Being responsible allowed me to achieve goals I’d never imagined.
What would you do with $20,000?Take a much needed vacation, catch up on some bills put some funds aside for rainy days as my struggle isn’t over. Mostly breathe and enjoy a few moments of being stress free. Health wise, I believe my blood pressure will return to normal as this situation has caused my blood pressure to increase. Start a savings account for my son. I don’t ever want him to struggle like I’ve had to these last couple of years. Be responsible!
