Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I enjoy every single part of motherhood and feel immense gratitude and joy to have the gift of being Callan’s mom. I am amazed observing his growth and how he overcomes challenges and most of all, I am inspired by his resilience. The most rewarding part of motherhood is feeling the bond that I have with my son and enjoying the simple, every-day moments with him. I love experiencing life with him and seeing it through his eyes.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Being Callan’s mom has taught me to trust my instincts and speak up and ask questions. Being the mother of a medically complex child, starting from the day he was born, one of my biggest lessons has been that I will never regret speaking up and advocating for him. Now that Callan is a little older, my lesson is currently that the purpose of giving him life is for him to LIVE it. Despite medical challenges, I hope to help Callan experience everything the world has to offer him.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would save the money for Callan’s future- for his education or travel experiences when he is older, to help him with his future endeavors as he grows up. My sister nominated me for this competition and I am honored that she thinks of me as a Super Mom.
