What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The best part is knowing that they still need me regardless of how old they are. Having my phone ring all hours of the day and night because they have a question or concern or need help makes you still feel wanted when they are grown up and almost on their own. I loved the baby part of being a parent, but it’s so rewarding to watch them grow up and turn into adults who have values, respect and determination to make a better life for themselves. They are the best part of me.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

I have learned to cherish every second, minute and hour and treasure each memory, laugh, tear, and dream. It has maybe a better person to hear my children tell me that I am their role model and their strengths and determination has come from me. This has given me a reason to keep going through hard times and I live for my children. A child as a gift and I was blessed with six beautiful kids who taught me how to love freely and unconditionally. They have taught me how to love myself.

What would you do with $20,000?

It would be a great help to do some home repairs that are much needed, but I always said that I want my kids to leave home with good memories after their childhood and to years later sit around with their friends and chat about it I would love to take them somewhere on a trip of their choice so we could keep creating these happy times and memories together Every child deserves a dream trip and regardless of the cost, the memories that you create are priceless.
