As a mother of two young children who suffer from a rare blood disorder and have needed constant medical attention, as well as an older child who has her own development needs, what is most rewarding is watching all three of them fight through their individual challenges and display such courage and kindness. Moments like these remind me, that my husband and I are doing a great job cultivating the belief in our children, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” -Phillipians 4:13
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is that no child is the same! Each will come with different needs, wants, and desires. Each will come with their own challenges. To me, that’s the beauty. Learning who your child is, to help them become all that they desire to be, and reaping the rewards of knowing you helped get them to a successful adulthood.
What would you do with $20,000?I currently have multiple projects currently underway. Authorships, a foundation start up, and educational products. I would invest every penny of this award back into these projects and resources that will benefit struggling mothers, suffering children, and those living with rare blood disorders.
