The most rewarding part isn’t the easy moments of parenthood, it’s watching connection grow in places that once felt hard. It’s seeing my kids feel safe, seen, and chosen. Through my own adoption, I learned that love can begin before familiarity. Through a blended family, I learned that love expands it doesn’t divide. And through loss, especially losing my own mom just three weeks ago, I’ve felt how deeply love roots itself in us and carries forward through how we show up for our children.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me there is no one way to be a mom. As an adoptee, stepmom, and mom, I’ve lived it from every side. Every child, every story asks something different. I’ve learned we don’t just raise our kids we heal alongside them. In loving them, I’ve had to grow, break cycles, and become better. Motherhood, for me, is both a calling and a healing and they are inseparable.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won $20,000, I would take my family and cousins to Hawaii to celebrate my mom our Gigi who passed three weeks ago. She loved Hawaii, and being together would honor her life and the love she built in our family. I would also use it to finish recording my podcast, something she believed in deeply, so her support and voice continue through the stories I share with people.
