Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom thus far has been seeing my children soar like eagles. Seeing them go after their goals & live disciplined lives while pursuing their dreams is priceless. It has been a blessing for me to see that they are appreciated, esteemed by their friends, leaders & employers. It is amazing to see them in action, being committed to their family and friends, serving their communities, while honoring themselves, others, and God, brings me great joy.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson I have learned as a Mom- Children are a reward from heaven, the Bible says so. I have learned that my children have been some of my greatest teachers. A Mom must value their children's voices as much as her own. I have learned humility. I have grown into a better person because of them. I love more, forgive deeply, & seek God more. The respect of a mother & a child goes both ways- if it doesn't, one can miss out on the greatest role God has given us, the privilege of having.

What would you do with $20,000?

This past year was incredibly hard on our family- I had very serious health issues that became life-threatening—seeing my children spring into action to care for me & help us financially when our business experienced challenges, it was astounding. It was life-changing. I will use the money to bless my children by paying off their cars and buying land for them. I am building a legacy for our children.
