For me the most rewarding part of being a mom, is watching my children grow and learn, becoming their own little selves. Supporting them in every endeavor that peaks their interest and being their number one fan in all they do. Watching them learn something new, fail and succeed, is both humbling and rewarding. And in turn, being loved back by these sweet boys I get to call mine.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is to focus on what you can control and let go of what you can’t. You may have ideas and plans but that doesn’t mean that things will always work out the way you’d like. As a mom, we must take all that life throws at us in stride and adjust to provide the best for our children regardless of our own circumstance. Also, being a single mom doesn’t mean you’ve failed. You can still provide a happy, healthy, loving home - even if you have to do it alone.
What would you do with $20,000?I work as an assistant principal full time, while also picking up weekend shifts at a small boutique, and have started my own photography business on the side. With $20,000 I would invest in a new computer and camera for my business, pay off some debt, and take my two boys on their dream vacation - Disneyland. Any remaing funds would be put into savings accounts for my children.
