It has taught me that you don’t have to be perfect to be enough. Kids don’t need a flawless parent, they need someone who is consistent, real, and willing to try. You learn to forgive yourself for mistakes, to apologize when needed, and to keep growing alongside your child. I’d make sure there’s a safety net. Setting aside 3–6 months of essential expenses in a high-yield savings account gives peace of mind and protection against unexpected situations. I’d also look at any high-interest debt & paying that down. Then I’d put a portion toward the future.
