I may only be a super mom because of my super support system. They are what gives me my “super” powers.
We would like to thank you for supporting Chanterra Myers in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding thing about being a Mom, for me, has to be simply watching my baby learn and grow. The wonder in her eyes for seemingly small, everyday, things reminds me to slow down and really enjoy the simple things.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me, is how to cultivate joy. Everyday we wake up, tired, hurting, anxious, etc… but you somehow manage to smile and play with your little one. The joy that’s created -from an empty cup at times- is just so pure and gives me a renewed appreciation for life.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off the remaining debt we have. Doing that would be life changing for us and allow our income to start going towards building a savings for our family. Right now my husband and I share a car -which is a bit difficult to coordinate around, because he works 12 hr shifts- so I would also try to get a used car to be able to commute around town with the baby. That alone would be life changing for us.
