I don’t think I quantify as such but my kids motivate me to think more positively of myself, so this is my attempt. Newly single mom here!

Seeing my kids grow and become such amazing, beautiful people who brighten when they realize their own intelligence, independence, and potential, is one of the greatest privileges of my life. Experiencing their joys with them will always bring me the most joy, but seeing them navigate what life throws at them, knowing I’ve not only had a hand in guiding them, but that, in addition, they continue to trust me to nurture and advise them, is the highest honor I could’ve asked for.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Perfection in motherhood is unattainable and a concept created by a society that is built on the backs of mothers who are demeaned and devalued daily. Expecting children to apologize when they make mistakes, but not acknowledging, owning up to, or apologizing for our own, is a costly generational curse that I’ve been determined to break. Additionally, judging other mothers who are also juggling everything to the best of their ability, is unnecessary and just plain hurtful.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off debts, donate some, catch up on bills- and then treat my children to a vacation!
