If I’m being honest, it’s not one big moment.. it’s a thousand tiny ones that hit you out of nowhere. It’s when your kids look for you first. Out of everyone in the world, you’re their safe place. The one they run to when they’re hurt, excited, scared, proud… all of it. It’s watching their personalities unfold. Like realizing one of your kids is the “wild card” with big energy and humor, another is more sensitive or observant..and thinking, I get to know these little humans better than anyone.

Motherhood has a way of humbling you in the most honest, unfiltered way. You’re not in control the way you thought you were and that’s not a bad thing. It teaches you patience you didn’t know you needed, because kids don’t move on your timeline. It teaches you to slow down, to let go of perfection, to realize that a “good day” doesn’t mean everything got done.. it means your kids felt loved and safe.

I wouldn’t do anything extravagant… I’d do everything meaningful. I’d use it to pour right back into my kids.. their little lives, their big personalities, and the future they don’t even realize they’re building yet. I’d create stability, make our home feel even more like a safe, happy place, and take some of the everyday pressure off so I can be more present with them. At the end of the day, it wouldn’t just be $20,000.. it would be more time, memories, and the kind of childhood they deserve.
