Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

For me, the most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children lean on one another, support each other’s growth, and make the right choices on their own. Those moments fill me with pride and reassure me that I’m doing something right, even when I feel like I’m falling short. It’s easy to get lost in negative thoughts with everything going on, but noticing those small, meaningful moments feels like a breath of fresh air and renewed energy to keep going.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is to see each of my children as individuals. I can’t use the same approach for encouragement, discipline, or love because they are all different—especially as a mom to adopted children. Each has their own love language: one thrives on words of affirmation, while another values quality time. Learning who they are and how they’re wired has reshaped my parenting and taught me some very important lessons.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won $20,000 in the Supermom competition, I would split half between our five children to help remodel their rooms and contribute toward meaningful purchases, like an electric scooter to help them get to and from school or saving for a future car. The other $10,000 I would put toward a larger family vehicle. As the kids grow, our current car seems to shrink, and having more space would make everyday life more comfortable for all of us.
