I have been a sol parent for over 22 years, raising afro-indigenous children empowered to graduate from YALE and my son High school. PROUD!
We would like to thank you for supporting Carrie Green in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
Seeing my daughter and son becoming a better version of me. Watching them navigate their world as afro-indigenous young adults and being positive contributors to society. Seeing them be kind, helpful, respectful, and mindful individuals, knowing we didn't have a lot but we always, always have enough to share. We are very giving people. We have a saying in our Klamath tribe, "When one of us succeeds, we all succeed." Sharing our stories, the will heal the world as well as ourselves.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you? That my children our my greatest teachers!!!! I've learned and continue to learn so much from them and feel like I am a better person because of them!!!
What would you do with $20,000?Get out of debt so that I can go into my elderhood with the comfort of knowing I can enjoy my remaining journey in this life. Return to my homeland next to the river, salmon, nature where I can live my sovereignty. Gather, hunt, fish and hear nothing but nature. Mo' Stinta (love and respect)
