We would like to thank you for supporting Carlina Gilpin in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my kids grow into kind, well rounded individuals is a true gift. I have seven and their personalities are so different. Each journey is different with each kiddo and I wouldn't change that for the world.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Be humble! We are all out here just trying to survive. Remember your kids are humans too. They trip up sometimes too, make those moments teach-able! Also, holy, it is bittersweet watching your children grow up.

What would you do with $20,000?

I could find a house big enough to fit us all a little more comfortably. Put a down payment. We have been stuck in a 3bdrm 2bath apartment for awhile and boy is it getting tight. My 11yr old son is almost as big as me and my 14yr old daughter wears bigger shoes than I do. I would also like to make a small donation to a fund for autism research. My youngest (2yrs) was diagnosed and I just feel in my heart it's something I should do.
