Carissa Savoy

Being a mother is the greatest gift. I work full-time, but make sure I am present for my kids. Also, balancing medical needs for one child.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part about being a mother is knowing you are your children’s safe place. To know every day that my children trust me with their feelings and to work through any of their problems lets me know I am trying my best. I just want my boys aware of their feelings and truly happy with life.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is that the most tough and rough days will pass. One day you will look back and say “I did it.” Sometimes you will question your parenting wondering if you are making the right decisions. Mothers are not meant to be perfect but present.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 would mean so much to our family. We would be able to payoff medical bills from the past year and a half, save money for future medical bills and therapies, and put money towards my 3 boys (ages 3,6,7) college funds. Money comes and goes so quickly but what you put it towards can be so beneficial for your family.
