My first child, Josie, had a hypoxic brain injury at birth resulting in cerebral palsy and thrusted me into the world of medical momming ❤️
We would like to thank you for supporting Carissa Priewe in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of motherhood is watching my children experience joy. When Josie was born, we were told she may never even know who I was. While Josie is profoundly affected by her disabilities, she is the happiest little girl. Every smile from Josie is worth more than gold.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you? There is no rule book. No one knows your child better than YOU. Trust your instincts above any social media information.
What would you do with $20,000?We would put this money towards buying a wheelchair accessible vehicle. These vehicles are incredibly expensive to buy and it’s getting increasingly harder to lift Josie into her car seat.
