I think my wife would say being their mom is the reward. After they make a basket, score a goal, nail the cheer routine, or complete whatever difficult task-the first place they look is to see Mom. That connection with your kids when they want to share the highs and lows, they turn to you.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?That our kids are not us. They are growing up in a different time and generation than we did. We want the best for them-but we don’t live through them. They are their own people, with their own thoughts, plans, dreams, and ideas that we get the chance to raise them.
What would you do with $20,000?My wife has been working 3 jobs as a mental health technician in a crisis center of a Children’s Hospital, a substitute teacher, and a Registered Behavior Therapist for children on the spectrum. All while completing her Masters to be a licensed clinical counselor. She has said many times she would love a way to pay on the student loans and relieve that debt.
