What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Being able to provide for my 2 kids has been the most rewarding. Knowing that I put myself through nursing school alone is the most gratifying thing I could’ve ever done. I love being able to be an example for both my son and daughter who is now a registered nurse as well . She has told me countless times how I have been so influential in her life. I am also able to enjoy seeing my son take flying lessons, he hopes to one day become a pilot. These are truly rewarding for me!

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Motherhood has taught be to always think of my children first. I am always making sure they have what they need to succeed. Sacrifices that I’ve made for them has given me so much pleasure in knowing that this is giving them the fundamentals to become successful adults. Even when my finances weren’t good I always found ways to make things happen. For that I am very proud and grateful.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would invest some and also help pay for my son’s flight lessons as they are very expensive. If I haven’t learned anything else, I’ve learned to become savvy with spending and saving. Opening an account for my son’s retirement would also be another thing I would do so when he’s my age he can be more comfortable financially than I am.
