What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The reward to me is seeing how my kids interact with the others and how they treat them. To me it shows that the times I didn’t think they were listening or watching they were. My kids are some of the kindest, soft hearted smart kids I know and that is my reward. Seeing them grow up to be wonderful kids is the biggest reward I could ever have.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Biggest lesson of motherhood has been to slow down. I’ve always been a mover and shaker and on the go. I’ve learned to slow down and enjoy all the little moments as kids grow up way too fast. I lost my dad 6 years ago to lung cancer and my mom has stage 4 lung cancer now and realizing how short of time we have with our families, I try to take make as much time as possible to be with my kids. I want them to remember mom put her phone down, mom played with me, mom taught me to make pancakes.

What would you do with $20,000?

I really need to pay off some of my own debt but I would use this to pay for room and board for my oldest who is headed to college this fall. Any amount of money would help reduce any loans he would need to take.
