The most rewarding part about being a mom is hearing from others how kind and loving my son is. This past week we had our parent-teaching conference and my son's teacher told my husband and I that our son accidentally ran into one of his classmates and instead of saying "sorry" right away, he got down on her level and asked her, "are you ok?". It's heart-warming and rewarding to know that the values you try to instill in your little ones do pay off when you're not watching.

Motherhood has taught me so much it's hard to pick just one thing - but if I had to, I would say that it's taught me to let go. Let go of always having a tidy/clean house, let go of worrying about all the household tasks that need done. The things/tasks that used to be so important are not really what's important. Being present with your family is the most important thing. The time you get with them is so short and you certainly don't want to miss the small memories.

This past year and a half we had several unexpected home renovations projects that needed taken care of which drained our savings. I would use some of the money to bulk up our savings account again. I would use another portion of the money to go on a fun vacation with my husband and our son. And lastly, I would use the rest to further my education. I'm have been wanting to get my Certificate in Nurse Life Coaching, but the program is about $5,000. The money would go towards that!
