The most rewarding part of being a mom, even just 9 going on 10 months in, is being my son’s whole world. I’m his comfort when he’s upset, his joy in simple moments, his safe place through everything. From breastfeeding and nourishing him to every smile and cuddle, it’s all so special. Even with the challenges of his heart arrhythmia, being there for him through it all has shown me how deeply meaningful and rewarding motherhood truly is.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from motherhood is that the mental load is no joke. We carry endless to-do lists, constant reminders, and the weight of running a household while trying to care for ourselves. It’s overwhelming, and we don’t give ourselves enough credit or grace. I’ve learned it’s okay to pause, choose rest, or step away. Some days are harder, but even the breakdowns are part of it. In the end, the small moments make it all worth it.

With $20,000, I would put some of the money toward paying down my credit cards and finally lift that weight off my shoulders. Having that financial freedom would bring so much peace of mind and allow me to breathe a little easier each day. I’d also set aside part of it toward a future down payment on a home, something my husband and I are working toward.
