What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me you can’t do it all, but you can give your best. Life is beautiful and unpredictable; after losing my brother at 25, I was inspired to donate part of my liver to save my hair stylist’s 2-year-old son. Pausing my family and new business wasn’t easy, but I couldn’t bear another family experiencing that kind of loss.
What would you do with $20,000?I’d use the money to help ease my liver recipient’s out-of-pocket transplant costs, lifting some of the financial burden from his family during an already overwhelming time. I want to create awareness and support other families going through a similar experience. I would also love to take both of our families on a well-deserved vacation to celebrate life and second chances.
