Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I get to break the cycles. The full circle moments where I get to say “wow, this is what my mom meant.” When my son says something to me that he got from my modeling it; random “i love you mommy” “i love your hair today mommy.” Having this tiny human who thinks I can do no wrong and unconditionally loves- is a love you’ll never know until you are a parent and there’s no better feeling in the whole world.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Tomorrow isn’t promised. You don’t have to enjoy every second of motherhood for it to still be beautiful. Some days it’s ugly, some days it’s hard, some days you wonder how you’re gonna make it to bedtime. Some days you’ve got it down and it’s the best thing ever. Every day is a new day, as moms- we set the tone for our kids, especially our more tone sensitive babies, so you need to dig deep and fix yourself to show up as the best you for your kids. You are their childhood magic, make it count.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would fly us out to have my son meet his great grandparents in Boston before they get too old. I’d catch up on the bills that have been drowning us since we flew the coop just the two of us. I’d get to finally say YES to an adventure day- theme park, toys, treats. All the things we don’t have money to get to do that he asks for and I always have to say no to- we just try to make it paycheck to paycheck and the money could be truly life changing for us. I could breathe for the first time. ✨
