The most rewarding part about being a mother is watching them explore life. Since I’m a mother of an autistic child, watching my son just master new goals and skills and each new word or sentence he might say, just that alone is the most rewarding thing if it all!
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest lesson I’ve learned in my journey of motherhood is that you’re not a guaranteed what you thought motherhood would be. I never expected my son to be autistic and having to be in therapies on an everyday. The struggles I have endured have only taught me more on how to be patient and understanding in the moments of when my child is having a full-blown meltdown. Also just getting down on his level and exploring life differently.
What would you do with $20,000?I would put it towards buying a house for me and my two children. The past four years, we’ve been living back home with my parents in one bedroom with one twin size bed. Now I’m totally grateful for the help of my parents, but I would love to be able to have my own place again and let the kids have their own space.
