It’s so hard to pick one! Unsolicited hugs comes to mind first. But also watching your children grow into themselves and develop their own little personalities while navigating this scary world is truly a reward that I feel can be overlooked with the business of life as well as being a parent. Sitting back and observing your child through their social interactions or even just day to day tasks can be somewhat entertaining but also enlightening.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Respect is not only earned but also needs to be given. Children are just little people and deserve to have the chance to be heard and understood from a basic human level. Listening to their big feelings and communicating how to set and respect personal boundaries. Children are far more resilient and emotionally intelligent than adults give them credit for.
What would you do with $20,000?Ask my kids how they think we should celebrate! Then after the excitement wears off and we can all think more realistically and set a limit to the celebration I would put some money away for them to have when they are older and then use some for a reliable vehicle.
