The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my children grow into who they are, knowing I’m shaping their sense of safety, love, and confidence. It’s in the small, consistent moments; our dinners together, our nightly board games, their laughter, and their trust in me. Despite the pressure I carry, especially raising them on my own, those moments remind me that what I’m building matters. Watching them feel seen, supported, and happy makes every sacrifice worth it.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that strength isn’t about doing everything alone; it’s about showing up with love, even when you’re exhausted. As a single mom, I’ve learned resilience, patience, and the importance of presence over perfection. I’ve realized that my children don’t need a perfect life, they need a consistent, loving one. It has also taught me to value myself, set boundaries, and grow, because the better I am, the better I can be for them.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I would relieve financial pressure by paying down debt and creating stability for my family. I’d invest in support for my child with special needs, and create meaningful experiences for my kid; simple moments that strengthen our bond. I’d also set aside a portion to build a small safety net, so I can continue showing up as a strong, present, and less stressed mother every day.
