Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of mom, is watching my children grow into their own person. Seeing their individual personalities develop, hearing their likes and dislikes, and knowing I had a part and shaping who they are as human beings brings me great joy. It’s the small moments too, such as the “ I love you momma” and text from my teenager asking how my day was. Especially on days that feel super exhausting and messy trying to balance life, and everything that comes with it.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson that motherhood has taught me is that there is no “one size fits all” when raising children. They all learn and grow at different paces and that having patience with them, and especially myself, has made me more humble and stronger throughout the process. Motherhood has also taught me that love is an everyday practice, not just a feeling. It’s showing up, being present, making sacrifices, late nights, hectic moments, laughs, and tears. And I wouldn’t change it for the world.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I’d pay off a couple things and put some into savings. Then I would set some aside for my two boys whether it’s for their future, school, or something they really REALLY want.
