Being a mom is the greatest call of my life. My husband I struggled to start our family, so for me, every part of being a mom is truly a gift. I don’t think I’ve slept through the night in the last decade, but the miles I’ve put on my old rocker at 2am rocking a little one curled up on my chest are not taken for granted. It’s not always easy but it’s wonderful. Seeing the fruits of my labor - the day in and day out teaching, disciplining, pouring out - that’s what makes it all so extraordinary.

Enjoy your children! It’s easy to get caught up in the tasks: the to-dos, errands, planning, laundry, meal prep, etc. I’ve learned that more than a perfect picture or beautifully designed party, my kids want ME. They enjoy the things I plan and places we go, but more than that, they just enjoy me. Their mom. It’s better to plan a lowkey party and be stress free than to plan an over the top party and be stressed out during. Sit back and delight in your kids - who they are; what they like; etc!

My kids are begging to go to Disney! It’s a simple dream, but I’d love to grant their wish and take them to Disney for a week! Having a large family is a joy, but it’s financially challenging. We don’t always have extra for trips or splurges.
