Watching my children implement the values we've taught them makes me feel like I've gotten at least a little part of parenting right! I think the most rewarding is when they show kindness and sincerity to others without being reminded to. It is also so rewarding watching all the hard work we have done with my special needs son pay off! Seeing him do all the things we never thought he would be able to do makes our hearts soar.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The hard stuff will happen whether you like it or not. What really matters is how you choose to move forward from it. Will you let it help you or hurt you?
What would you do with $20,000?I would love to get a seizure-detection service dog for my son who has epilepsy as a result of bacterial meningitis. He has seizures often and having a service dog would mean the world to our family!
