We would like to thank you for supporting Ashley May in this year's competition. Your participation made a huge impact for Children’s Miracle Network® and their mission to provide life-saving care and improve the health of children across the country.
The most rewarding part of being a mother is watching my children grow and adapt. They face challenges I can’t fully comprehend—especially my oldest, who is severely autistic in a world not built for him. His resilience amazes me daily. Watching my twins grow side by side, forming a bond filled with love, laughter, and connection, is equally beautiful and reminds me how powerful their relationships can be.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that nothing in life is black and white. Every parent carries struggles you may never see. Behind picture-perfect moments can be fear, heartbreak, or uncertainty. It’s shown me the importance of empathy, withholding judgment, and recognizing that everyone is doing the best they can with what they’re facing.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use $15,000 to pay down debt, which would be life-changing for our family. It would ease daily stress and allow us to better support our children and their needs. With the remaining $5,000, I would take my husband on the honeymoon we never got to have. We got married during the pandemic and never had the chance to celebrate properly, and that time together would mean everything to us.
