The most rewarding part of being a mom is creating an emotionally safe environment where my children can truly flourish and become who they’re meant to be—because only when a child feels secure can they access their full potential. I don’t feel like I teach them as much as I give them the space to grow. Watching them learn, absorb the world, and have things click is incredible. Knowing they feel secure, even when life isn’t perfect, means everything to me.

Motherhood has taught me that steadiness matters more than perfection. Kids need us to be emotionally in tune so we can truly show up. Taking care of yourself isn’t optional—it’s necessary. Motherhood has stripped down what I truly need—I can handle almost any hardship as long as my children are healthy and safe. Everything else feels secondary.

If I had $20,000, I’d bring my children’s books to life—hiring illustrators and self-publishing stories I’ve already written. They include fun farm tales and books I’m most passionate about: helping kids (and parents) understand emotions, regulate their nervous systems, and build healthy coping skills. With the remaining funds, I’d invest in my children’s savings accounts to support their future.
