What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding thing about being a mom is watching my kids pursue a relationship with Jesus. I teach them as much as I can about who He is and what He has done for us but at the end of the day, their relationship with Jesus has to be theirs. It can't be because I told them to. And that isn't easy. It's a balance and takes a lot of patience, humbleness and trust in God that He has them in His hands.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

I can do everything in my power to protect my children, to help them hold on to their childhood and to keep them from experiencing hurt and pain but I can't protect them from their testimony and growth. Difficult situations, hurt feelings, hard experiences all help them to grow and mature. There are some situations that the only thing I can do for my children is be a listening ear and an encourager. Developing a relationship built on trust starts when they are little.

What would you do with $20,000?

Our dream is to invest in land and a homestead to create generational wealth. A homestead would be incredible for my kids go to grow up on but I am also thinking about my legacy. I want to build something that can be passed down to my grandchildren and great grandchildren. 20k would go a long way in building our dreams!
