What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom—especially doing it on my own—is knowing that every ounce of love, strength, and stability my kids have comes from me. Since losing their dad in 2017, life hasn’t been easy, but it’s made our bond unbreakable. I’ve had to be everything—comfort, discipline, support, and cheerleader—and somehow, through it all, they’re growing into strong, loving, resilient humans.There’s a quiet pride in the hard days, and a deep, overwhelming joy in the little moments.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

Losing their dad forced me into a role I never asked for, but it taught me how to keep going on the hardest days, how to be both soft and strong at the same time, and how to give my kids a sense of safety no matter what we’ve been through. It’s taught me that I don’t have to be perfect—I just have to be present, consistent, and full of love. And somehow, that’s more than enough.

What would you do with $20,000?

giving my kids a place to call our own—a safe, stable home where they can feel secure and at peace. That would come first, no question. After that, I’d make sure we finally have a small financial cushion so we’re not living day to day in survival mode, constantly worried about what happens if something goes wrong. Just a little breathing room would mean everything. And most importantly, I’d make sure my kids never have to question where their next meal is coming from.
