During awful moments of my divorce, I’ve discovered a strength I didn’t know I had. The greatest reward has been watching my children thrive in a safe, loving environment, where they can grow explore and truly become themselves.
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?Motherhood has taught me that kids are so brave. Every single day kids are encountering new scenarios, socially personally and academically. As adults, we’ve been able to navigate enough situations and structure our lives so that we have minimal new things each day. My kids have reminded me to try something new because you might love it…. and while trying something new can be scary… giving it a try also makes your brave.
What would you do with $20,000?Due to a long-standing history of financial abuse and financial manipulation, I’ve never been able to take my kids to Disney World. That is 1000% the first thing I would do if I acquired a financial gift! The remainder I would spit it evenly between me and my two boys. For the two of them, it would go into a savings account and for me I would put it towards something that brings me great joy… Traveling to see my favorite bands- Dave Matthews!
