Being able to be that one constant in this crazy life for my boys. My oldest was asking me basic math questions the other day (3+3, 3+2+1, etc.) and when I kept answering them correctly, he asked me how I was so smart - and pretty and cool.. and I felt my heart just absolutely melt in that moment. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but even if I don't win, I already won because my 5.5 year old thinks I am cool!
What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?The biggest? That's a doozy! I don't think there's one lesson that you learn from motherhood because it's ever-evolving. But I think that IS the lesson - motherhood is never going to be dull; you're always going to be needed and hopefully wanted, always have somewhere to be, something to do. Learning how to take the hits of motherhood with grace and reminding yourself that no mom is perfect.
What would you do with $20,000?I would more than likely put it towards purchasing a home. I want to find somewhere to lay down roots and have one home that my boys can grow up in, opposed to jumping from rental to rental. I want the big yard for them to play in, the house where all the friends come over to, and to mark their growth on the door frame as they grow older without having to worry about having to leave them behind when a lease is up!
