What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom to me, is when even through all the struggles, they still look at you and say “you’re the best, mom!”, and to them- you really are! The heart melting moments, and just watching them become their own little person with their own interests, styles, and personality are beautiful things.

What is the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me is patience. Well, it’s a work in progress, anyway! Haha. Also, the ability (and importance) to be able to apologize. That used to be a tricky thing for me, but knowing that I want it to come easily to them, I make sure they know now that even though it’s uncomfortable, it is necessary.

What would you do with $20,000?

Ever since I was a little girl, my life has been a lot of moving. One apartment to another, one house to the next. That followed me into my adult life, and as a result, my children have had to move A LOT. The longest stretch my girls and I have had before moving again was a rental we had for 4 years before we had to move again. With $20,000, I would invest in buying a home that they can spend the rest of their school days in. An actual family home they can think back and remember.
